What Barako means

/Ba - rah - koh/ — In Filipino culture, ‘Barako’ symbolizes strength, boldness, and character. The cafe is named for Kapeng Barako, the bold Liberica coffee from Batangas, Philippines, and it is the coffee behind our espresso drinks, from the cortado to the Dirty Pandan.

03

Rooted in culture, made from scratch

Fresh breads, pastries and dishes are made in house, including the pandesal for our breakfast sandwiches. The menu draws on Filipino culinary tradition: bold flavours with contemporary technique and ingredients from local farms and producers.
