Breakfast, lunch and Kapeng Barako coffee on St. Albert Trail
Barako Bistro is a Filipino-inspired cafe and bistro at 1115 St Albert Trl, Unit 310, in St. Albert. Breads, pastries and dishes are made from scratch with Filipino flavours and ingredients from local farms, served with bold Kapeng Barako coffee. Dine in, or order online for pickup and delivery.
Barako Bistro is run by chefs Sherwood Supa and Camila Abalos, both NAIT Culinary Arts graduates with over a decade in Edmonton kitchens. Sherwood was born in the Philippines and raised in Canada; Camila moved to Canada as a teenager. They built Barako Bistro to share the flavours that shaped them. Read our story.
Fresh breads, pastries and dishes are made in house, including soft pandesal rolls. The menu names its local producers: Irving Farms pork, Four Whistle Farm free-range eggs, Lakeside Farms beef, BreadLove sourdough and Eden cheese.
